Colleen Hiban

I am a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Arizona. I began studying TCM theory at The Won Institute in Philadelphia, PA before transitioning forward into the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Gainesville, FL.

I decided to pursue acupuncture professionally after experiencing the depth of its influence. This healing modality allowed me to physiologically experience my mind and body in a new way. Acupuncture provided me the space to breathe differently, to feel differently, and to act differently. It supported a reconceptualization of myself and the world. I have been profoundly changed by this medicine and that catalyzed me to follow acupuncture as a career.

I am a white practitioner utilizing a wellness practice outside of my culture. I work to stay conscious of the space that I inhabit in this community. I am committed to the values of listening, learning, and accountability so that I may be a safe partner in collective healing and liberation.

My offering is one of attunement, curiosity, thoughtfulness, and presence. My intention is to support clients in experiencing greater connectivity and peace inside their bodies and lives. My treatments aim to disrupt internal discomfort and increase the capacity to manage mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
